Game Night

At the farmer's market!

We started yesterday off with a trip to the farmer's market. Mark and I had never been to one before yesterday. We got some yummy cupcakes (like we needed them), a bottle of wine from a local vineyard and some fresh zucchini, squash and eggplant. We spent too much money but it was fun and it's good for the local economy to support home-grown, local business. You're welcome Austin!

The most exciting part of yesterday was our BBQ and game night. We had two couples over to eat dinner and play some board games. I had a lot of fun but it is certainly challenging to entertain while you have a three month old.

On the menu?
Appetizers:
spinach dip and sourdough bread (from HEB and my fav.)
Sausage balls (homemade...mmmmm)

Main Course:
Flank Steak with a homemade rub
grilled veggies (our purchase from the farmers market)
coleslaw

Dessert
chocolate chip bundt cake (homemade and sooo yummy)
banana pudding soup (recipe from Sarah's blog...and a FAIL)

The banana pudding didn't turn out because I'm a goof (it is very important to use the 5oz. box of instant pudding). I'm going to try again later.

Chloe and Kennedy at their first 'sleepover' and they had a kicking contest in the crib!

Ashauntee, Mark and Kennedy...love these guys!
And yes, Ashauntee and Kennedy fell asleep while we were playing games...new moms are TIRED.

Amanda and her hubby Jared (sp?) fellow Red Raiders and so much fun!

Stay tuned for Raider updates after the football game today! Go TECH!

  2. Thought Tech was not going to win. Good ballgame that kept my interest. Hope you got excited but stayed fairly calm so not to scare Chloe. Your meal made me hungry.Glad you enjoy sharing good times with friends.
