Power of Prayer

This post is for Lexton, the nephew of Ashley. She has reached out to her friend Jennifer and Jennifer posted a prayer request on her blog. I want to pass it along to the few people who read our blog. This little boy could use all the help he can get. I can't think of anyone better suited to help him than the BIG MAN UPSTAIRS.

Please add him to your prayer list.

3rd Trimester

Ready, Set, Go!!

We have less than 100 days. Actually 90 as of today. We are in the third trimester and we are ready for Miss Chloe! Although, I hope she stays cozy in my tummy for a while longer.

Here is a picture from 10 weeks ago at 17 weeks and a picture from Sunday at 27 weeks.

At our next appointment, I get to drink the notorious orange drink and take the blood sugar test to make sure I'm not diabetic. I've heard the stuff tastes terrible and I have a pretty good gag reflex so I hope I can choke it down. I'm sure it will be fine :).

We have a pretty big list of things to do. One of which includes registering for a child birth class. I keep putting it off but I know I need to enroll soon so they don't fill up. We also have to choose a pediatrician and decide what to do about childcare. I only have 12 more weeks to get things together so I should probably get on it!

As a side note, it snowed ALL DAY LONG here in Austin. I couldn't believe it. The weatherman said it was going to but I didn't believe them. Sure enough...we had big, fat flakes fall for hours. I hope our Chloe gets to play in snow someday. I asked Mark the other day if he had ever been sleding and he said, 'no.' I guess we'll have to take a 'winter vacation' someday so our kids can expereience the fun I had as a child in the snow. But this mom, does not miss the cold AT ALL! Come on spring!! I need you!

It's a small world...

This is two exits from where I work. I was wondering why there was so much much smoke in the air and honestly thought the McDonalds accross the street might be on fire. I was wrong.

We know two people that work next door to this terrible tragedy. I bet it made for an interesting day at their office. To top it all off, the pilot was a software engineer that Mark's company had in their database and had spoken with about work...just shows that you never know.

Stephanie!!

I just want to make sure that everybody knows that the friend I made brunch plans with on Sunday was Stephanie!! She is a dear friend (that is hopefully still speaking to me after I post this) and I love her dearly. She will be known to Chloe as Aunt Stephanie or Aunt Steph, unless she requests otherwise...

She will probably never comment on my blog again :). Although, I hope she does!!

Exhausted

My mom had a good point. She thinks that the cold weather may have something to do with my lethargy. I hope she's right. I could use another month of my 2nd trimester energy. I'm really afraid that I'm already into the weariness that they describe in the 3rd trimester.

Today was my day off and after getting up at 8a.m. and sewing on blanket for Chloe, I was ready for a nap by noon. I didn't want to waste my day so I put off the nap until 3:30 by which time, I was so tired that I couldn't think straight. I forgot how to spell Chloe's name...

Speaking of forgetting things. I have full-on 'baby brain' right now. On Saturday, I walked out to my car after getting off work, stopped, looked at my car and asked my fellow teller 'is this my car?' It was a completely ridiculous question. Nobody else at the bank has a car like ours. But for a moment, I really didn't know if it was my car. My only explanation was that I thought I had parked somewhere else.

That same day I made plans with a friend for Sunday morning brunch. She told me the time and place via text message which I responded to by texting, 'sounds good.' The next morning I asked Mark to text my friend to find out what time we were meeting. His response? 'Baby, the last text message you got from her says 10 and you told her that was good.' I have no recollection of the that message. Needless to say, we got a good laugh out of it.

The whole baby brain really is quite comical for the time being; although, I'm pretty sure that it could get annoying if it continues.

Here is the latest bump picture. For some reason, my computer decided to flip the text to the side of the picture. I have neither the brain power or the energy to fuss with it so it will stay that way!
