~Granthamania Style~ Dining Rooms

It's Friday and that means it's Show Us Your Life at Kelly's Korner! Today is the dining room series. We do not have a dining room in our home. I think it's a room I'd like to have someday, but it's just not reasonable in our starter home.

Instead, I'm going to show you where we dine and by definition that makes it a dining room.

I wish I had before pictures of our home. We've done so much work and it really does look so much better than when we moved in nearly three years ago.

I love our table! It was a gift from my mom and dad and I've had it since before Mark and I got married. I hope it takes us a long way and I'm sure it will.

You may notice that our table is a bit off center. That's because we've had to cram so much baby stuff into our downstairs area. It works for now.

Above is an example of the baby stuff we are cramming.

Above and below is the buffet table that Mark and I purchased. I love it! It gives me space to store my cookbooks, place mats and our games. Plus it gives me a family picture display. My mom always kept family photos up and I just don't think a house is a home without them. But, to each their own.

Still working on getting it to look right.

This is my wedding 'china' that is not china. It's practical and that's what Mark and I prefer. These dishes are only used on special occasions but they weren't so expensive that I'm afraid to use them.

This is our everyday dishware. I love it!

The cross that my cousin, Tori, gave us as a house warming gift. We love it and it matches everything perfectly (which is not the point but it's nice)!

  1. Nice and comfortable dining area in your home. I got to enjoy a nice meal prepared by your chef that lives at your neat home. Every home should be proud to show family pictures of good times. The cross is beautiful where ever you display it.
